On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, Dr Eduardo Bianco, Framework Convention Alliance (FCA) Regional Coordinator for the Americas, has been recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) for his accomplishments in the area of tobacco control.
Eduardo Bianco has been involved in tobacco control for more than 20 years and has contributed significantly to the development and implementation of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) in the Americas.
“I am grateful to receive this award. I know very well that without all the people along the years who supported my region and my activities, it would be impossible to reach this point. So I want to thank everyone for always being there when I needed,” he said on receiving the news.
FCA congratulates Eduardo Bianco on this well-deserved award and salutes his tireless efforts in working for a world free of tobacco and tobacco use.
